Needs and Volunteer Opportunities
· Needed books- updated, attractive biographies of Black athletes, politicians, etc.
· Tutoring-Thursday afternoons from 3:00-4:45 (tell Mr. Jesse Kell by each Wed. at
CLOAKING
if you plan to come)
· Public Relations to potentially: spend 10 min/day on Facebook, Twitter, Bebo, http://www.aiderss.com/ to connect with people for EHA
· Judge our Oratorical Contest on February 25th from 12:30-3:00
· Middle School enrichment classes-teach a class for one or more 9-week periods (may be an opening in spring) Examples: singing, dancing, what is your interest?
· High School electives-teach a class for one or more 9-week periods Examples: etiquette, yearbook, photography, consumer science,what is your interest?
· Drama-assist in drama productions
· Sports-assist our coaches (soccer, basketball, volleyball)
· Administrative tasks-stuffing mailings, etc. (when Mrs. Elizabeth Kell asks for help)
· Attend sporting events and cheer on our students-the schedule is on the EHA website, door and concession attendants during basketball season). Schedule on EHA website calendar
· Sponsor and purchase concession stand supplies
· Invite friends to join you for hot lunch at school- stay current on school events and needs (up to five guests total)
· Be a liaison for EHA with your local church
· Grant opportunities and potential donors- do you have a connection?
· Ambassador for the school- we will provide you with materials or letter that can be sent to organizations
· College connections- administrative resources, application assistance (through Mrs. Teodori)
· Help with our annual Banquet in February (decorations and set-up tables under our decorating chief)
· Field Trips-host EHA high schoolers as they visit your office and experience your vocation to gain a vision for college and their career (through Mrs. Teodori)
· Field Day-help run games/events (through Miss Andrews or Mr. Raber)
· Drive the school bus (must have CDL)
· Help librarian by reshelving books-when donations are delivered
· Substitute teach (indicate: k-4th grade, 5th-8th, or 9-12th grade)
· Act as computer “hotline” for EHA computer questions
· Get sponsors for Annual Banquet (ex: get salad donated for event)
· Yearbook class digital camera
